TAXCO PRODUCE INC opened in 1985 in the Farmer’s Market District in Dallas, Texas. Founded by Alfredo Duarte and Jesse Mendoza, they were one of the first Produce Vendors in the area and recognizing a growing trend toward Mexican food. Over the years, the small company, which began with the present owners Alfredo and Jesse, filling every job, from buyer to delivery person, growing significantly with patience, until they saw was impossible to handle everything by them self and they started hiring personal. In late 1998 the company moved to its present location but wasn’t enough on 1995 started buying direct from San Marcos, Jarritos, Topo Chico, La Costeña, El Tapatio and others due to this on 2004 Taxco Produce expanded the building which allows keeping more than 100 trailers, started serving on the territories of Oklahoma, a few years later started Arkansas and North Texas. Currently Taxco Produce Inc counts more than 85 employees.

As the Hispanic influence and market share has seen exponential growth over the past 20 years, Taxco Produce has found itself in the forefront of food service distribution with an emphasis on Mexican Imported food products. Taxco counts with contacts throughout the United States, Mexico, Peru, have provided a steady flow of Mexican and all Hispanic food resources vital to the restaurant and food service operator. Taxco has been fortunate to list among its customers, more than 1,000 local restaurants, stores and food outlets. As the customer base grew, so did the inventory base at Taxco. While keeping the original name as Produce Company, the company now provides everything from meat, cheese, paper thru cleaning supplies, in addition to produce. Truly a Food Service Distributor, the company prides itself on providing a quality product.
